currently seeking a Small Business Liaison Officer (SBLO) to join
our team preferably in Palo Alto, CA or San Jose, CAThis role can
also be done remotely in the USIn this role, you will work in
collaboration with Buyers/Subcontracts Administrators, Engineers,
Program Managers, Contracts Managers, and Management to achieve
small business subcontracting goals and improve supplier
diversityYou will conduct outreach to suppliers and will be the key
conduit to identify suppliers that can meet Maxar's procurement
needs in space-qualified flight and other hardware, as well as
engineering servicesYou will write small business subcontracting
plans and ensure that Maxar meets contractual and regulatory
requirements related to small business subcontractingIn addition to
your responsibilities as SBLO, you will also support continuous
improvement projects for government compliance requirements and
government reporting (including executive compensation)As required,
you will support supply chain workload by executing purchase orders

longevityResponsibilities--- Conduct and document outreach to
expand Maxar's utilization of small businesses as required in
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 19, Small Business
Subcontracting, and Supplements.
* Manage procurement policies, procedures, templates and forms
related to small business subcontracting.
* Conduct quarterly small business metrics meetings with program
and functional managers.
* Support the proposal and contract formation process by evaluating
the solicitation and model contract and submitting a compliant
small business subcontracting plan and proposal sections.
* Attend business conferences to meet suppliers and present Maxar
capabilities and procurement needs.
* Work with external small business organizations to identify small
businesses that can meet Maxar's procurement requirements.
* Establish a Mentor-Prot--g--e program with select suppliers.
* Collect and analyze small business procurement information and
submit semi-annual Individual Subcontracting Reports (ISRs),
Summary Subcontracting Reports (SSRs), and additional reports as
required.
* Review and approve small business plans and reports from
lower-tier suppliers.
* Train, coach, and mentor buyers, subcontracts administrators,
program managers, and engineering personnel in Small Business
Subcontracting.
* Interact with all levels of staff, management, customer and
government personnel.
* Lead the response to Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA),
Small Business Subcontracting, and Small Business Administration
(SBA) reviews.
* Support internal and external audits.
* Support other government reporting requirements, including
Executive Compensation.
* Manage continuous improvement projects related to small business
and government compliance requirementsMinimum Requirements--- Must
be a U.Scitizen and be willing and able to obtain U.SGovernment
secret level security clearance
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related fieldFour
additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree
* Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
* Extensive knowledge required of Federal Acquisition Regulations
(FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS),
NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), and other Government procurement
regulations related to small business subcontracting
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically, Word, Excel,
OneNote, and PowerPoint
* Ability to travel to conferences and US affiliated companies
Preferred Qualifications--- Master's in Business Administration
* 3 years' experience managing continuous improvement projects
and/or process implementation
* Experience in small business subcontracting at a government
contractor
* Successfully passed DCMA Small Business Subcontracting reviews

flexibilityIndividual pay will be competitive based on a
candidate's unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic
diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experienceThe
range for this position is: $106,000.00 - $176,000.00
annuallyAdditionally, this position is incentive eligible with a
target based on contribution, company performance, and/or
individual results achieved; the specific incentive plan and target
amount will be determined based on the role and breadth of
contributionsMaxar employees must follow all applicable Maxar
policies and COVID-19 requirements as well as those of Maxar
customers and third partiesIndividual job requirements may vary,
