Our 140+ plus team members are located in more than 15 countries and bring experience as entrepreneurs, investors, and operators from some of the world's leading technology companies.What We NeedThe Fund Controller will work with the rest of the fund accounting team to manage and evolve internal controls, policies and mechanisms around a fund's financial reporting processes for our growing roster of investment vehicles. This position reports directly to the CFO.This position will be remote, although candidates already based in California, United States would be preferred. Responsibilities:

• Reviewing financial statements and footnotes prepared by our third-party administrators, ensuring consistency with appropriate reporting framework
• Prepare and review Quarterly Fund Financial Statements
• Prepare and review Capital Account Allocations
• Understand Fund Partnership Agreements, to make sure that financials are in line with agreements
• Oversee Fund financial audits
• Prepare schedules for tax accountants
• Coordinate with our Operational Accounting team for the review of the management company books
• Preparing and/or reviewing fee calculations including (but not limited to) management fees, professional fees, and carried interest allocations
• Reviewing capital activity including capital calls, distributions, and transfers
• Analyzing agreements between partners and investment managers to ensure funds are operating according to the agreements
• Providing training and guidance to new and existing team members
• Coordinating and managing the external audit and tax process
• Involvement in the redesign and improvement of existing business processes
• Point of contact and cooperation with fund managers in fund related mattersRequirements
  • Advanced knowledge of US GAAP required
  • Demonstrated ability to identify risks and control gaps in processes and successfully delivering process improvement
  • Ability to drive the implementation of new technology
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong relationship building skills; ability to partner across the organization to execute strategic goals
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to deadlines
  • Strong communication skillsTechnical Requirements:
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel
    • Experience with accounting softwares preferably Allvue (AltaReturn)
    • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM a plusEducation & Experience:
      • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field
      • 5 (five) or more years of experience in VC/PE accounting
      • CPA or CPA candidate preferred
