Job Description:

Description We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of experience and a proven track record of working with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Responsibilities: + Financial Data Management: Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable transactions, and journal entries in compliance with company policies and GAAP. + ERP System Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of large ERP systems to input, review, and reconcile financial data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate data integration and troubleshoot any system-related issues. + Month-end Close: Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing and reviewing various reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. + Financial Analysis: Analyze financial statements and reports to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for process improvements. Provide insights and recommendations to management based on your analysis. + Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with accounting regulations and standards to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting. Assist in the preparation of external audit requirements. + Expense Management: Monitor and reconcile expenses, ensuring proper coding, documentation, and adherence to budgetary guidelines. + Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to address payment inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships. + Process Enhancement: Participate in the development and implementation of streamlined accounting procedures and internal controls to optimize efficiency and accuracy. + Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to share insights, provide support during peak periods, and contribute to a cohesive and results-driven work environment. Requirements Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus. + Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles. + Proficiency in working with large ERP systems is required. + Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations. + Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data. + Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining a high level of accuracy. + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. + Strong organizational and time-management skills. + Effective communication and interpersonal skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
