Job Title: Provider Administrator Location: 100% Remote CA - R1 - 1234 Remote Street - Sacramento California 94203 Type: Contract (7 months with High possible extension and conversion) Pay Rate: $25/hr on W2 Job Summary Under direct supervision, this role works within and across departmental teams to manage provider and office staff service requests, resolve business partner inquiries, and support provider call handling and routing. The position supports provider management activities including data maintenance, credentialing, directory management, and intake requests while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant service delivery. Key Responsibilities Manage provider and office staff service requests and resolve business partner, administrator, and provider inquiries. Handle call routing and first-level intake for the provider support line. Research, resolve, document, and accurately respond to provider, practice, business partner, or administrator inquiries and service requests. Communicate and coordinate with providers, practices, and internal departments to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is available to support business needs. Support provider management activities including: Provider data maintenance Credentialing and recredentialing processes Directory management Intake and data clean-up requests Monitor and maintain critical provider information across multiple systems. Act as first-level triage for incoming provider calls, team email box requests, and data clean-up efforts. Manage committee meeting logistics, document findings in formal meeting minutes, and communicate committee decisions to staff. Review team quality assurance reports regularly and collaborate with leadership on follow-up documentation. Support client and regulatory audits by pulling required documentation and reviewing provider files for accuracy. Support recredentialing activities and audit processes in alignment with NCQA and client standards. Ensure all requested information is delivered accurately and within specified timeframes. Maintain high standards of professionalism in all written and verbal communications. Continuously build industry knowledge to support internal and external business partner relationships. Job Specifications / Required Skills Two to four years of general office or administrative experience. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications. Strong reading and writing skills necessary to perform job functions. Demonstrated ability to identify problems and provide effective, creative solutions. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
