Come work with your peers and play with kids while being a role model who creates a welcoming and safe environment for children to grow and play. As a Club J Teacher you will create and implement programs and promote learning in an after-school program for children in grades K-6. Come work at our large community center with free access to our full fitness facilities!The Core Duties:
    • Interact with and supervise school-age children in individual and group settings to broaden their learning experiences
    • Plan and implement experiences that provide a consistent learning environment that allows for emotional, cognitive, social and physical growth in children
    • Challenge children to interact, learn, create and thrive while conforming to the individual needs of each child
    • Create and actively promote a comfortable and welcoming environment
    • Be a role model to children and others by maintaining a positive attitudeThe Essentials:
      • High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred
      • 1+ year of experience teaching in a licensed child care center or comparable program preferred
      • 1 year of experience in youth program development preferred
      • 12 semester units (completed or enrolled) of Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development (CD) units or units recognized by Community Care Licensing as qualifying in an afterschool setting or Associate Teacher Permit or Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing
      • Valid and appropriate California Driver License
      • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
      • Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with the community and other employees
      • Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when required
      • Positive, upbeat and enthusiastic about working in a non-profit environment
      • Cleared Background Check (Fingerprints, Child Abuse Index Check and Medical/TB exam)
      • Pediatric First Aid and CPR CertifiedJob Type: Full-timePay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hourSchedule:
        • Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
