Job Description Experience with desktop installation & support: Windows 7/8, MacOS X, Linux Experience with maintaining IT on-prem and cloud systems, including patch Willingness to work shift hours on a rotating basis to cover overseas staff Ability to effectively document and diagram MIS, Engineering, or ComSci education or military service equivalent --- Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to execute with minimal direction --- Incredibly strong customer service skills and attitude --- Enjoy solving problems within a growing organization --- Organized, with the ability to effectively track multiple issues --- Independent, curious, and eager to learn --- Strong communicator, both verbal and written Key Responsibilities: --- Desktop installation and support for Windows 7/8, Mac OS X, and Linux corporate users --- Help maintain IT on-prem and cloud systems, including patching and compliance --- Perform new hire set up for local and remote users --- Keep internal/shared IT documentation up-to-date --- Work with IT Leadership to research, test, and deploy solutions for internal IT and end users --- Complete periodic audits of systems and software --- Perform system upgrades, including new hardware deployment and imaging --- Respond to and own issues within a help desk tool, from initial communication to resolution --- Be part of an on-call rotation schedule --- Work closely with other IT staff to effectively communicate issues, project milestones, and recommendations Qualifications --- Military experience/technical training or 4 year degree in MIS, Engineering, or Computer Science; --- Experience in a hands-on, user-facing technical support role --- Ability to effectively document and diagram Technical Skills: --- Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux operating systems --- Experience managing corporate or military servers, monitoring tools, source control systems, defect tracking systems, and modern automated deployment/patching tools --- Directory services experience (Active Directory) and managing Mac OS X and Linux in an AD environment --- Knowledge of one or more practical programming languages (ruby, perl, python, etc.) is a plus Knowledge of the following is a plus: VMware, MySQL, IPSec VPNs, SSL VPN, IDS, IPS, RADIUS, 802.1x, Active Directory, GPO, Linux OS, Mac OS X Server, Google Apps, VoIP, Video Conferencing, Office A/V Equipment Experience managing corporate or military servers, monitoring tools, source Exp. source control systems, defect tracking systems Exp. modern automated deployment/patching tools Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
