ProgramThe RoleTesla's Supplier Industrialization team is
responsible for critical raw materials, component development and
qualification activities at suppliers. The supply chain team is
expanding its operations in the field of extraction and refining of
critical battery metals. In this role, you will work closely with
many organizations both internal and external to Tesla related to
mining and refining operations, taking the necessary steps to make
significant progress in transitioning towards sustainable
energy.This role will have the opportunity to make meaningful
contributions to our products. The work environment is demanding,
fast-paced and incredibly exciting. The ideal candidate should be

capable team to make unbelievable things into
reality.ResponsibilitiesWork with battery minerals team,
mining/refining group, metal mining GSMs to assess viability of
different mining designs and locationsMonitor production output at
existing facilities and support expansion programs with existing
major suppliers (mines & refineries)Support design and start up
stages of new producers(miners) that Tesla has supply agreements
withProject manage activities in mines and refineriesAct as a
bridge between Tesla Minerals/Materials engineering team and
minersEnsure on time completion of planned activities in
minesPeriodic communication of the progress of activities in
minesReview mining process flow, call for action to reduce
inefficacies in the processEnsure safe operations of mines and
identify opportunities for sustainable operationsEnsure mine design
compliance with safety standards and proceduresRequirementsMS, PhD
in Chemical or Mining engineering discipline, with 5+ years of
experience Mining industryExperience working as mining process
engineer especially battery cathode related metal (Lithium, Nickel,
Cobalt) mining/refinery is desiredExperience in designing and
commissioning refineries -Ability to travel - 35- 50% (domestic and
international)Self-starter and an active learner who can push the
limits to disrupt the status quoExperience with MHSA standards and
designing mines compliant with MHSA regulations.Experience
developing operating procedures for mining activities, implementing
