a talented, mid-level PCB Layout Engineer to join our team. As a
PCB Layout Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and
development of highly reliable avionics systems, incorporating
current best industry standards and best
practices.Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define PCB layout
requirements and constraints
- Design and layout of high-performance, high-reliability PCBs
for aerospace applications that adhere to industry standards and
best practices
- Create and manage PCB documentation including fabrication and
assembly packages, such as Gerber, ODB, BoM, fab and assembly
drawings
- Resolve DFM and manufacturing related issues as they arise
- Assist release fab and assembly packages into a company-wide
PLM system
- Own and improve Opener's PCB/FPC design processes, component
libraries and templates
- Contribute to PCB design reviewsQualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a
related field
- Minimum of 5 years of PCB design experience
- Strong proficiency with Cadence and Altium CAD tools
- Knowledge and understanding of IPC, JEDEC, IEEE, and other
electronic standards
- Experience with Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex boards design and
manufacturing
- Experience in PCB layout design constraints for mixed/RF
signal, high speed signal impedance control, power distribution,
heat dissipation, and optimization for EMI performanceBonus
Qualifications
- Aerospace and defense industry specific PCB design and layout
experience
- PCB layout related certifications such as CID, CIS, CSE
- Experience with 3DX and Altium integration
- Knowledge in EMC compliance, aviation safety compliancePersonal
