What to Expect Tesla is committed to having industry-leading uptime in ourdeployed fleet of EV charging products. We are using data collected from ourconnected systems to find problems before the customer does. The Tesla EnergyProducts team is looking to hire a product engineer to effectively utilizefleet data and engineering fundamentals to monitor product performance, androot cause design, process, or firmware failures in our fleet of EV charginghardware. The person in this role would play a central role in ensuring we havethe highest quality products for our customers. Thisperson will work with a cross-functional team of engineers to define and trackproduct KPIs, troubleshoot and diagnose device issues, deploy necessarycorrective actions ranging from firmware changes, hardware design changes,manufacturing process or installation process changes, etc. to prevent issuesfrom re-occurring. - What You'll Do

• Develop and run data queries on fleet logs to help rootcause analysis efforts.
• Workwith the engineering and manufacturing teams to drive design and manufacturingchanges to improve product quality in both existing and future products.
• Definedata signatures that uniquely identify the failure and lead integration of thisknowledge into algorithms to automatically identify similar other failures inthe field.
• Providesupport on escalated customer cases in order to minimize system downtime,through day-to-day coverage of internationally distributed service cases. What You'll Bring
  • BS or MS in an engineering discipline (Electrical,Mechanical, Computer Science, etc.) -
  • Strongengineering fundamentals and intuition, applied to firmware/software-enabledmechatronic systems.
  • Previoustechnical work experience with electric vehicle charging hardware and protocols/ standards.
  • Strongdata analysis skills, with experience using Python.
  • Excellentoral, written communication and collaborative skills.
  • Anability to prioritize and execute many tasks in parallel.
  • Anexcellent attention to detail and an ability to produce clear and concisewritten documents and diagrams.Worktravel is expected to be Compensation and Benefits Benefits

      Expected Compensation
      $72,000 - $264,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
      
      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
