Job Description:
Our client, an innovative leader in the automotive manufacturing
industry, is seeking a Dimensional Engineer to join their team. As
a Dimensional Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering
Department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate
will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication,
and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the
organization. Job Title: Dimensional Engineer Location: Foster
City, CA Pay Range: $88 per hour What's the Job? Own dimensional
requirements from early design through production launch for
assigned vehicle systems or commodities Develop and maintain 3D
tolerance analysis (DVA) models to predict variation and assess
design robustness Define and validate GD&T schemes aligned with
functional and manufacturing intent Partner with Design Engineering
to influence part geometry, locators, and interfaces to meet
dimensional and craftsmanship targets Support top-down and
bottom-up dimensional integration, ensuring alignment with
vehicle-level requirements What's Needed? Bachelor’s degree in
mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related
field 7-8 years of experience in dimensional engineering, tolerance
analysis, or geometric integration within automotive or high-volume
manufacturing environments Strong working knowledge of GD&T
(ASME Y14.5) with demonstrated application on production-intent
designs Hands-on experience with 1D/3D tolerance analysis tools,
such as 3DCS Proven experience supporting programs from concept
through production launch, including detailed design, DV, PV, and
