Job Description:

Our client, an established and profitable network engineering and DevOps services firm with the majority of its client base in the Bay Area and offices in the US and Europe, is looking for a seasoned Vice President of Sales to join their Bay Area team. This will be a remote position but the client has an office in Palo Alto this person is welcome to use, and they are only open to candidates who are local to the Bay Area and have a strong rolodex here. This will be a senior-level individual contribution position for the first year, and will be responsible for hiring additional sales team members under them once they've established their own pipeline. Strong sales experience within the SDN/NFV network engineering space is a requirement, with bonus points going to candidates who also have experience selling DevOps, UX/UI, and other similar services. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company with an impressive client list and 200+ employees, which offers great base salary and uncapped commissions as well as leadership potential within the organization! Responsibilities: Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales goals Build a pipeline of new business against a 7-figure quota, owning the full sales cycle from initial prospect through close Create a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement Build and manage the sales team, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth Define the optimal sales force structure Hire and develop sales staff Manage the use of budgets Help the company become known as an employer of choice and a sales force that top sales people want to join Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives Manage customer expectations and drive customer satisfaction Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements when and where required Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners to develop key relationships Requirements:A proven track record in b2b sales in IT (preferably in cloud services) Good understanding of the IT sales process Strong interpersonal skills Native English speaker A well-developed network in Silicon Valley. This is essential.
