Job Title:Accounts Receivable ManagerLocation:Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Knoxville, TN, Palo Alto, CAJob Summary and Description:Directs and coordinates the Global Accounts Receivable and Funds Management processes in compliance with internal control requirements. Prepares relevant general ledger account analyses and supports the monthly financial reporting process. Uses judgment and analytical skills in problem-solving. Measures department performance and drives for improved results.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of the monthly global A/R close process and accuracy of invoices and cash applications.
  • Manage the invoicing process for-- U.S. and International accounts
  • Manage the monthly reconciliation of other A/R-related accounts (such as unapplied cash, deposit accounts, unclaimed credits, clearing, accrual, bad debt, charge-backs)
  • Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding; evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures
  • Establish work standards, develop objectives and design/maintain effective workflows and operating procedures
  • Develop policies, procedures and work instructions for review and approval by the Controller and recommend modifications to existing corporate policies and procedures as they relate to accounts receivable
  • Produce monthly key metrics and highlight/analyze trends and issues for resolution
  • Manage AR team members including coaching, training, and ongoing performance management
  • Interact with Account Executives, project managers, customers, ----executives-- and others as necessary to research and resolve customer account and contractual issues
  • Review and coordinate resolution of invoice errors with Order Entry, Contracts and Projects team members
  • Support the periodic internal and external audits of the receivables processes.
  • Test ERP system enhancements/modifications related to the accounts receivable and funds management processes
  • Take a leadership role in identifying system and process improvements and enhancements
  • Other duties and projects as assignedEducation and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accounting required.
    • 7 to 9 years of experience required
    • 5+ years of leadership/management experience; proven people management skills/team building
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in A/R, including system responsibility experienceSkills and Attributes:
      • Advanced excel skills required
      • General accounting knowledge required, with an emphasis on understanding the debits and credits pertaining to Accounts Receivable transactions
      • General Ledger systems and A/R Sub ledger systems experience required
      • Able to work independently and have excellent follow-through
      • Strong communication, interpersonal skills and analytical skills with attention to detail.
      • Proven ability to manage performance improvement situations, establish goals, coach for success and establish and maintain a high-performing team
      • Exposure to International business practices preferred Proven ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and focus on critical issues as they arise while continuing to meet long-term goals
