You will build out applications and algorithms that enable the creation of a distributed and scalable platform for validating the SDN line of VMware products. You will also collaborate with multi-functional teams on innovative projects, with the authority and scope to apply your skills in a dynamic and technically driven environment. We hire engineers who can take on hard problems in new areas and help define new markets.What you'll do:

  • Work closely with the product management and software development teams -and be responsible for the -overall quality of our products, deliver solutions and identifying new opportunities to improve product pipeline
  • You will partner closely with other leads and teams to work as a cohesive unit that delivers a product with rock solid quality
  • Seek opportunities to introduce best practices and bring continuous improvements to automation and testing. -
  • Design, implement and maintain test frameworks and test cases
  • Provide feedback, propose solutions and suggest improvements in the product
  • Ensure coverage of tests in all product pipelines and manage the stability of these pipelines
  • Grow, coach and retain a talented and productive team
  • Partner with the test engineers and extended engineering teams to develop best practices, author blogs and white papers, and present internally, at conferences, and directly to partners and customersWhat You'll Bring
    • Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent experience
    • 8-10 years of experience in test/productivity engineering (Functional/E2E/Scale/Performance)
    • 5+ years of experience managing direct reports
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Experience or exposure to Python programming
    • Strong understanding of OS fundamentals (Mac/ Linux/ Windows)
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to lead discussions
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail
    • Experience with Dockers, open source tools such as Kafka, Terraform, Spinnaker, InfluxDB, Elasticsearch a plus
