objectives. What is primary need, technical challenge, and/or
problem you will be responsible for? VMware vRealize Network
Insight (vRNI) delivers intelligent operations for software-defined
networking and security. It helps customers build an optimized,
highly available and secure network infrastructure across
multi-cloud environments. It accelerates application discovery,
migration, micro-segmentation planning and deployment; enables
visibility, monitoring and troubleshooting across virtual and
physical networks, Hybrid/Public Clouds and SD-WAN. We're looking
for a Sr. Product Line Manager to join our team to define and
deliver network visibility and monitoring solutions for VMware
Cloud on AWS and other hyperscalars like Azure, GCP, OCP and
associated services, fulfilling the comprehensive cloud management
vision on both our SaaS and on-premises offerings. If you thrive in

environment, this team is for you! Success in the Role: What are
the performance goals over the first 6-12 months you will work
toward completing? Market analysis, customer research and
competitive analysis to drive the strategy for network visibility
and monitoring for the modern cloud network. Own and define
requirements for Network Visibility and Monitoring for VMware Cloud
on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and other associated
network services like HCX, provider underlay like DirectConnect,
ExpressRoute etc. Work with the rest of the product management team
to help define requirements for NPMD (including packet analysis)
and AIOps Identify a variety of customer needs and use this
information to define user personas, user stories, use cases, and
product requirements for product features. Participate in the
product release planning process; Partner with engineering and UX
teams to define, review and plan delivery of customer requirements
Work closely with VMware customers, developers, and key VMware
stakeholders including Engineering, Support/Services, Product
Management, and Sales. Drive adoption and consumption of the VMware
multi-cloud network visibility platform (SaaS and on-premises).
Drive the prioritization process to ensure the roadmap aligns with
company strategy and drives the growth of the end-to-end network
visibility business. Evangelize to sales, customers, partners, and
eco-system in various forums. What type of work will you be doing?
What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on
a regular basis? You will engage with current and prospective
customers and gather requirements, both tactical and strategic, and
identify new market opportunities You will prioritize strategic and
customer requirements, and collaboratively create a product
roadmap. You will elaborate on the customer requirements and use
cases, partner with UX teams to build the end-to-end customer
story, partner with engineering on the architecture and scope, and
get buy-in from all stakeholders. You will also define/refine the
product strategy and roadmap, breaking it down to incremental
execution phases. You will work closely with engineering, product
marketing, SaaS operations, and sales spread across geographies to
deliver the product as both SaaS and on-premises offerings. You
will assist in defining and executing the go to market strategy.
You will be responsible for working across VMware portfolio
products/services to synergize and create comprehensive portfolio
value. You will follow existing processes and create/enhance
processes to make the PM work more efficient, predictable, and
collaborative. What is the leadership like for this role? What is
the structure and culture of the team like You will be joining the
vRealize Network Insight product management team, which is spread
out in multiple geographies across the globe. We pride ourselves on

is comprised of talent from some of the top tech schools in the
world including IIT (in India) and Ph.D.'s from Univ. of Illinois,
Urbana Champaign (UIUC) You will be entrusted with responsibilities
of critical product components related to network visibility and
monitoring. This is a great opportunity for you to help defining
network visibility for the modern networks, take a leadership role
in the team, hold yourself in hard conversations and presentations
with SVP and CTO of the BU, bring your deep and broad experience
and innovative thought for a product used by 1000s of enterprise
customers. Toolkit BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry
technical skills. An MBA is highly desired. At least 8-10 years'
work experience in product management, working with a globally
distributed team in an Agile SDLC model. Real-world experience with
Public Cloud, VMware stack along with network visibility and
monitoring a must, with proven background on defining and
delivering products in the market. Proven technical foundation with
business perspective, prior startup experiences a huge plus.
Experience with defining products for the SaaS/Subscription world,
a big plus. Experience with NPMD and packet capture, Container
networking highly desirable. Ability to bring new, technology
products and services to market. Ability to engage with customers
globally to synthesize product requirements. Ability to work in and
drive cross functional teams, including development, engineering
services and UX, to deliver product to market. Excellent presenter
who is comfortable leading face to face customer meetings and
presenting to large size audiences. Technical depth that lets you
understand and earn the respect of exceptional engineers. Ability
to handle several concurrent activities with strong interpersonal
skills and attention to detail. Where is this role located? This
role is preferably based out of VMware's Palo Alto Office but open
