Marketing for the Tanzu ecosystem of our Channels business.
Channels partners are a major driver of VMware's business. We are
seeking a strong, dynamic and results oriented leader to help drive
marketing efforts across all our channel routes to market -(RTM)
for the Tanzu portfolio. In this role, you will own marketing with
and through channel partners with the goal of driving customer
adoption of the Tanzu suite of products. You will manage a team of
partner marketers and define our partner marketing investment
efforts, build, and execute joint marketing plans with partners and
define key success metrics. As a leader of the function, you will
have the opportunity to define the growth of our partner marketing
function as the business scales.Success in the Role: What are the
performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work
toward completing? -Performance outcomes over the year would
include clearly defined and executed product marketing strategies
for our Channel / RTM partners including but not limited to
messaging development, targeted campaigns, event participations,
webinars, seller enablement initiatives and other marketing
activities aimed at driving annual business goals. The ability to
work within a globally matrixed environment and build relationships
and influence stakeholders from multi-disciplinary teams
(Marketing, Solutions, Sales, Technology, Product) is critical to
success. 10+ years of experience in software product marketing,
product management, product strategy or management consulting role
is preferred. Experience leading teams both directly and through
influence will help you thrive in this role.The Work: What type of
work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills
will you be performing on a regular basis: Responsibilities may
include, but are not limited to: -
- Manage a team of product marketeers focused on channel partners
(Value Added Resellers, Distributors, Cloud Service Providers,
System Integrators, OEMs etc.)
- Deliver compelling messaging and positioning, go-to-market
strategy reinforcing our core messages and driving awareness of
VMware Tanzu within the channel partner community and end
users
- Drive and own Tanzu portfolio and product messaging to and with
channel partners
- Develop and maintain joint annual and quarterly marketing
strategies and plans, objectives, KPI for our channel partners
- Define scalable sales enablement programs to drive knowledge of
Tanzu products within the partner base
- Define priorities, investment model, and success metrics for
our marketing efforts with channel partners
- Execute co-marketing activities, including targeted campaigns
with partners to drive acquisition of new customers and build a
strong sales pipeline through partners
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Sales, Product
Management, Partner and RTM org, Sales Operations, Corporate
Marketing to drive at defined outcomes
- Assess competition and develop battle cards and joint solution
message with partner solutionsWhat is the leadership like for this
