Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing? This position is responsible for creating content for VMware's company story and for VMware's CXO exec voices, with a focus on written thought leadership (e.g. exec blogs), videos (scripts and creative treatments), and keynote presentations. This content creator will have direct impact in shaping and refining VMware's core narrative, bringing to life VMware's innovation and leadership position in Multi-Cloud. This role presents an opportunity to bring writing skills, storytelling chops and creativity to help drive the story we tell to a variety of audiences, including our employees, customers, partners, and industry influencers. In this role, this person will collaborate with a variety of teams across VMware, as well as agency partners, to develop a diverse mix of deliverables. The ideal candidate has a track record of developing and delivering high-impact content, with an ability to create content that resonates with both business decision-makers as well as senior technical decision-makers. The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis? Lead creation of diverse mix of CxO-level content and strategy across multiple channels including in-person and virtual events, blogs, social and more. Drive content-creation and strategy for an annual thought-leadership campaign Develop externally-focused thought leadership content to engage key audiences Build and manage VMware's company narrative, and driving content-focused communications programs Collaborate with Geos to customize activation of narrative and thought leadership for specific regions Craft corporate communications strategy in partnership with senior leadership and across functions /geographies--- Engage and collaborate across the broader VMware community globally, including R&D Engineering teams, business units and functions, corporate marketing, and the global communications teams at VMware What is the leadership like for this role? What is the structure and culture of the team like? Storytelling is at the heart of VMware's future growth; with great stories we inspire our customers, influencers, stakeholders, and employees about the positive impact VMware technologies can have in business and in our communities. The Global Communications Team leads the storytelling function at VMware. We are a team of approximately 85 communications professionals spanning public relations, industry analyst relations, integrated storytelling, and executive and employee communications. It's a fast-paced, dynamic and exciting environment. Where is this role located?
