The Assistant Restaurant Manager is responsible for assisting the
Restaurant Manager with the supervision of the Restaurant and Room
Service to ensure guest satisfaction, profitability, and a
positive, productive and compliant work environment. Work
hours/days vary as dictated by business needs and may include
weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Directing Team Members
-Supervise, guide and direct FOH Restaurant employees.
-Direct staff to rectify any deficiencies.
-Provide accurate feedback on performance to the Restaurant
-Supervise and reconcile cash controls for each shift in
-Ensure FOH all staff are trained on technical and service aspects
of the job.
-Provide constructive feedback to employees to help them perform
their jobs better.
-Ensure that all staff report to work as scheduled; document any
late or absent employees.
-Work with Restaurant Manager to ensure that employees have the
necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs.
-Develop, train and maintain a professional workforce.
-Minimize waste and maintain control of labor costs as well as
overseeing proper break policies.
-Assist FOH staff during business hours.
-Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess
satisfaction trends, evaluate, and address issues and make
-Responsible for guest satisfaction in terms of Food and Beverage,
hospitality, and service standards.
-Responsible for engaging the guests with friendly dialogue.
-Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
-Ensure all services to our guests are conducted in a highly
professional and efficient manner.
-Oversee the cleanliness of the restaurant dining room as well as
the Poolside Patio, this includes all Pool Area.
-Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of
assigned work areas.
-Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health
Department and Hotel requirements. Inspect food and beverage
outlets for proper storage, sanitation, security, neatness, and
rotation of inventory.
-Ensure a safe working environment and attitude for all FOH
-Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental
-Establish and maintain an effective communication and information
system through logs, emails, weekly meetings, and open
communication with all departments.
-Monitor and inspect any deliveries. (Linen, etc)
-Complete bi-weekly payroll.
-Provide timely responses with income inquiries regarding our event
-Assist with the execution of the event and ensure that goes
smoothly and meet the expectations of the guest.
Perform other duties as directed, developed, or assigned.
