The Digital Media Manager oversees Acterra's interactions with the public through implementing engagement strategies on digital platforms. Duties include analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in audience interactions, and planning digital campaigns to build community online. The Digital Media Manager's job focuses on increasing brand awareness through the effective use of digital media outlets.Role and Responsibilities
    • Using social media tools to create and maintain Acterra's brand
    • Regularly post text, video, and images that engage Acterra's audience and promote thought leadership
    • Monitor and facilitate online interactions on Acterra's social media accounts, and address followers' concerns
    • Working with the Content & Outreach Senior Manager to develop and launch digital marketing campaigns and publish digital content
    • Interacting with a broad set of stakeholders through Acterra's media accounts
    • Analyzing Acterra's digital strategy and performance to target areas of strategic weakness and offer recommendations for improvement, including ad placements
    • Researching digital and/or advertising trends and informing the Leadership team of changes that are relevant to Acterra's marketing activities
    • Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for engagements, and measuring a campaign's performance against the KPIs
    • Keeping up to date on Acterra's evolving slate of programs and determining the content and platforms that will effectively reach Acterra's audience
    • Manage and lead grant reporting requirements for digital-media related grants
    • Work with other members of the Communications team to update digital content on Acterra's website - -Skills and Qualifications
      • Cultural sensitivity, an interest in resourcing and partnering with underserved populations, awareness of environmental justice priorities, and desire to expand access to environmental knowledge to promote climate-smart decision-making and policy
      • A solid understanding of current online tools and marketing trends
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated mastery of digital technology
      • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
      • Strong leadership and project management skills
      • Ability to multitask and plan proactively
      • Ability to cooperate with others to complete projects
      • Ability to edit and proofread copy
      • Ability to solve problems swiftly
      • Spanish or other primary language fluency preferred but not essential
      • Keen interest in climate change, sustainability, or environmental issues
        Compensation, Hours, LocationThis is a full time, exempt position. Your schedule may vary based on need and may include evening and weekend hours on a regular basis. The estimated annual rate for this Manager level role will be $65,000.
