Originally created in 2012 within X, the Moonshot Factory, Wing is now an Alphabet company.About the Role: -Wing is looking for a Global Forward Logistics Manager to join our Operations team based in Palo Alto, CA. The ideal candidate has a passion for all things logistics, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices, customs and regulatory compliance, leveraging current systems, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.What You'll Do: -

• Manage global inventory within our Global Logistics and Service network to include inventory held and controlled by designated 3PSP partners within the Wing network including inventory movements from contract manufacturers, service providers and Wing nest locations.
• Accountable for Wing inventory throughout the GLS network and direct management of shipping execution, storage and optimization of all goods through the network.
• Oversee and optimize all shipping, storage, logistics and regulatory compliance for all shipments on behalf of Wing in collaboration with Alphabet transportation and logistics organizations.
• Works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate logistics and transportation support is provided globally.
• Cross-functional partnership with internal teams from Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations and Service.
• Responsible for all logistics in support of Site setup and ensuring the on time delivery of all inventory throughout the GLS network.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills with demonstrated cross functional collaboration.
• Strong leader with demonstrated people management skills and cross regional management. What You'll Need: -
  • BS in Business Administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
  • 7+ years of experience as a Logistics Manager with a record of successful distribution and logistics management
  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage remote staff and 3PSP partners.
  • Proficiency in inventory management technologies and requirements to successfully manage a multi-layered inventory model.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of international customs and regulatory compliance requirementsBonus: -
