The Tesla Energy Supply Chain team is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Manager (GSM) focused on Electronics - Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) supply portfolio to support our rapidly scaling Energy and Charging businesses. This organization oversees the direct sourcing of PCBAs for Tesla Energy products including Megapack, Powerpack, Powerwall, and Supercharger. In this role, you are positioned at the interface between Tesla's product teams and leading industry suppliers. You will own and manage the global commodity strategy including leading supplier selection decisions, managing, and developing key supplier relationships, driving commercial cost reductions, and supporting new product introductions from a supply chain perspective. As a Global Supply Manager, you will build and leverage strong working relationships with cross-functional partners in engineering and work together with our global suppliers to assure cost, quality and delivery targets are met to achieve maximum advantage for Tesla and our customers. This role will report to the Supply Chain Group Manager for Tesla Energy. This role will report to the Supply Chain Group Manager for Tesla Energy. What You'll Do

• Own commodity strategy for PCBA/Electronics for Tesla Energy products including developing and maintaining relationships with strategic partners and identifying new suppliers as needed to support Tesla's business and technical requirements Address all areas of category management including category business plans, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modeling, and sourcing strategies Collaborate with Global Supply Manager counterparts managing PCBAs and ensure commodity strategy aligns across all Tesla product platforms
• Own RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs in support of Tesla projects and lead supplier selection decisions
• Assess supplier capabilities and capacity to support Tesla's current and future technical and demand requirements; ensure suppliers selected can scale and grow with Tesla
• Participate in Design for Manufacturability reviews with Engineering partners and prospective suppliers, and drive decisions from a cost perspective
• Ability to understand technical drawings and specifications as well as basic knowledge of manufacturing process controls and quality assurance for their commodity space
• Comfortable communicating with technical stakeholders both internally and externally -
• Lead and execute supplier resourcing projects as needed
• Build and develop cost models to aid in commercial cost negotiations
• Drive commercial cost negotiations with suppliers to ensure Tesla receives best possible pricing; leverage cost models and analysis on current market conditions
• Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to complete supply, development, licensing and service agreements as needed What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of commodity management, or supply chain management experience 2+ years of experience with Electronics commodity (PCBA, Semiconductors and EE Components) Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, and/or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability MBA or Master's degree in related areas, a plus
  • Demonstrated, applied experience developing and managing a commodity including building cost models, leading contract negotiations and completing supplier resourcing projects
  • Experience supporting the launch of New Product Introductions
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time (International/Domestic)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders
  • Meticulous, with a strong attention to detail
