About the Job

  • Contract- 6 months and the possibility of extension and conversion!

  • Monday- Friday (7:00am-5:00pm)
  • Pay: $78.00 per hour with $117.00 after the initial 8-hour shifts!

      • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited academic institution
      • Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience and a background in ER/ICU/ONC or NM
      • EPIC
      • License/Certifications:

        • RN – Registered Nurse California State License
        • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).
        • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA).

          • Evaluates and cares for patients with acute, chronic complaints and health maintenance concerns
          • Obtains complete histories and performs assessments of normal and abnormal findings on new and/or return patients
          • Always focuses on patient safety and quality of nursing care during each encounter
          • Interacts with patients during face-to-face encounters or through a variety of telecommunication strategies in the virtual environment, often establishing long-term relationships
          • Acts as partners, advocates, and advisors, assists and supports patients/families in the optimal management of their health care, respecting their culture and values, individual needs, health goals, and treatment preferences
          • Facilitates continuity of care using the nursing process, interprofessional collaboration, and coordination of and access to appropriate health care services and community resources across the care continuum
          • Is able to place electrodes for EKGs and recognize major EKG abnormalities
          • Administers non-radioactive medications
          • Collects specimens for routine laboratory tests, screening procedures, and therapeutic procedures, including urine, blood, and blood products
          • Assists with scheduling radiology examinations and nursing services
          • Effectively communicates and interacts with patients, families, staff, and members of the community from diverse backgrounds
          • Recognizes situations that require the immediate attention of a physician, and initiates life-saving procedures when necessary
          • Identifies the need for and activates emergency protocols
          • Facilitates the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care and services
          • Facilitates collaboration between providers and coordination of community resources
          • Provides and coordinates patient teaching and counseling
          • Sets IVs
          • Helps ensure an efficient workflow for the Clinic
          • Coordinates care with other providers
          • Partners with the patient's family wherever possible considering all aspects of care to deliver family-centered care
          • Works as a team with Clinic staff, including but not limited to: physicians, technologists, and Medical Assistants, to provide the best care possible for patients.
          • Ability to create new workflows and procedures, and iterate and improve existing ones
          • Proactively tackles difficult problems
          • Write clinical notes in Epic
