Brief Description:
The Global Clinical Development Lead, Oncology reports directly to
the Chief Medical Officer and is responsible for shaping the
strategic direction of our entire solid tumor oncology portfolio
and driving the successful execution of clinical development
programs throughout the clinical development process including
regulatory approval and commercialization. This is a key leadership
position within the R&D organization encompassing leading a
high performing team of Clinical Development leaders and
professionals dedicated to advancing the treatment landscape for
the patients we serve.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership
for the clinical development of solid tumor oncology programs,
guiding the development of innovative therapies from early-phase
through late-stage clinical trials.
Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire solid tumor oncology
portfolio, including prioritization of assets, resource allocation,
and lifecycle management strategies.
Clinical Development Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive
clinical development plans for solid tumor oncology assets,
ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory
requirements.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with
cross-functional teams, including research, translational medicine,
regulatory affairs, and commercial, to integrate scientific,
clinical, and commercial perspectives into development
strategies.
Regulatory Strategy: Provide strategic input into regulatory
submissions and interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory
requirements and guidelines governing solid tumor oncology clinical
trials.
Clinical Trial Execution: Oversee the design, implementation, and
execution of clinical trials, ensuring adherence to protocol,
timelines, and budget.
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Lead the analysis and
interpretation of clinical trial data, collaborating with
biostatistics and clinical scientists to draw conclusions and make
data-driven decisions.
Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated
with clinical development programs, developing contingency plans to
ensure successful outcomes.
External Collaboration: Cultivate and maintain relationships with
key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and collaborative
partners to enhance scientific exchange and advance the solid tumor
oncology pipeline.
Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership, guidance, and
mentorship to the solid tumor oncology clinical development team,
fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and
excellence.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
MD
Demonstrable experience with successfully leading the development
of an entire Oncology portfolio including global scale high impact
assets across multiple indications.
Proven experience with leading the development of Oncology assets
that have reached or are due to reach blockbuster status.
Proven experience with building, leading and developing high
performing direct and matrixed clinical development teams.
Executive presence, able to confidently and concisely convey
complex ideas and insights to executive level audiences both
internally and externally.
Able to navigate ambiguity and complexity effectively. Evidence of
leading teams through periods of significant change.
Results driven, high sense of urgency and drive.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
Oncologist highly preferred.

total compensation packages that are market competitive.
For this role, the full and complete base pay range is $0-$0.
Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many
factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job
knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair
and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise
and contributions, within the established pay framework and our
Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will
also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be
reviewed on a regular basis.
At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation
package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a
discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation
(depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the
Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as
well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long
Term Equity Incentive Plan.
