Care Overview: The Occupational Therapist delivers therapy services
in patients' homes for those experiencing neuromuscular and
musculoskeletal conditions, all under the guidance of a physician.
This position is primarily focused in the Mercy Hospital Jefferson
region. Candidates must hold a valid license, possess relevant
experience in home or acute care environments, and demonstrate
strong skills in assessment, communication, and time management.
The ability to work autonomously and manage emergency situations is
essential. Responsibilities include scheduling patient
appointments, maintaining accurate documentation, and occasionally
driving under various conditions, as well as participating in

Position Details: Title: Occupational Therapist - Home Care Hours:
24 hours per week, Days Location: Mercy Hospital Jefferson, Festus,
MO 63028 This role involves providing in-home occupational therapy
services to patients with neuro and/or musculoskeletal disorders,
under physician supervision. Qualifications: Education: Must be a
graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. Licensure:
Current state license and a valid driver's license are required.
Experience: At least one year of experience in acute care,
rehabilitation, outpatient, home health, or long-term care settings
is necessary. Certifications: CPR certification is required.
Additional Skills: Strong assessment and treatment planning
abilities. Energetic, personable, and possesses excellent time
management and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and
documentation skills. In good physical health, capable of lifting
up to 50 pounds frequently, with occasional lifting of over 50
pounds. Able to work independently and manage emergencies without
assistance. Adaptable to change, proactive, and eager to learn.
Must be able to drive in challenging conditions and follow both
written and verbal instructions, including map reading. Responsible
for independently scheduling patient visits efficiently and
updating the office daily. Participates in weekend and on-call
rotations, maintaining regular contact with agency staff,
physicians, hospital personnel, and the public. Handles
confidential information regularly. Preferred Experience: Two years
