Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation, a leader in integrated healthcare services, seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team. This position will be based in our state-of-the-art inpatient rehabilitation facilities, where we strive to deliver the highest quality of care and enhance the well-being of our patients. The PTA will work under the direction of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover and improve their mobility after injuries or illnesses, contributing to both facility-based and potential home-based rehabilitation activities. Assist physical therapists in the implementation of treatment plans Document patient responses to therapy and report outcomes to the supervising physical therapist Help patients use necessary devices and prosthetics Educate patients and their families about in-home treatment strategies and exercises Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and ensure compliance with all facility policies and procedures Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions Capacity to handle physical demands of the job Knowledge of basic healthcare and hygiene standards Competence in using physical therapy equipment and devices Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current PTA license or certification as required by state law CPR certification recommended
