Directing Business Partner - Recruiting Services The Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking a Directing Business Partner, Recruiting Services to manage recruiting for a portfolio of clients and delivering services through a team of 4 to 5 recruiters and sources. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Talent Strategy & Programs in the Human Resources Group, the Directing Business Partner will manage internal client relationships through Service Level Agreements (SLA) using an in-house recruiting agency model and will be a hands-on manager who delivers through a team as well as directly on select searches. Additionally, the Directing Business Partner will work closely with the Director, Executive Search and Services to create and deliver a cohesive set of talent offerings to hiring managers and leaders in support of the Stanford Medicine mission. The Directing Business Partner is a key member of the School's Human Resources Group's Operations team, partnering closely with senior department directors and managers and collaborating with other partners in the school to advance and improve talent acquisition and organizational and individual engagement and performance.This is unique opportunity to deliver an in-house service with excellence, while supporting the global mission of Stanford Medicine of integrating clinical care, research and education to improve health. Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of 4 to 5 recruiters and sourcers to deliver on SLA's for client hiring groups
  • Manage client SLA's to include regular reporting to clients and leaders on usage of services
  • Serve as a thought partner to hiring managers and leaders on programs and strategies to recruit and retain talent in support of Stanford Medicine's mission.
  • Direct the services that support recruiting for Early Career and Experienced talent by creating and managing consistent recruiting processes, tools and frameworks that create an inclusive hiring process.
  • Provide leadership and development of the Recruiting Services team to successfully deliver on hiring goals as well as programs that support hiring across the school.
  • Direct select searches for critical hires / clients and in support of executive clients
  • Report on hiring trends and results to leaders across Stanford Medicine DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 2+ years managing talent acquisition teams
    • Recruitment agency or consulting firm recruiting experience
    • Experience in complex and distributed organizations
    • Experience with supporting hiring strategies for scientific organizations EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED) Master's degree and ten years of relevant experience, or a combination or education and relevant experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED)
      • Demonstrated ability to establish a strong partnership with the senior human resources partners and other members of the management team.
      • Demonstrated ability to articulate vision and strategy and execute a functional plan/roadmap.
      • Proven track record of successfully leading complex talent or organizational development functions.
      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and self-confidence.
      • Strong influencing capability; able to skillfully influence peers, colleagues, and vendors to promote and sell ideas; ability to build broad-based relationships across the organization. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
        • Frequently stand/walk, sit, perform desk based computer tasks, use a telephone, and grasp lightly/fine manipulation.
        • Occasionally twist/bend/stoop/squat, reach/work above shoulders, grasp forcefully, writing by hand, sort/file paperwork, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.

          • Travel on campus to schools/units.
          • Travel to campus 2 to 4 times per year This role is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has -five Regional Pay Structures . The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $131,000 to $175,000 per annum.
