Job Title Full Stack Developer - Philips Hue Job Description We're looking for a Full Stack Developer for a new Philips Hue software engineering team at our site in Palo Alto, California. As a full stack developer for Philips Hue, you'll be working on the mobile application and cloud backend of one of the world's leading consumer smart home ecosystem as it moves into a new domain of home interactions. The Hue ecosystem is expanding rapidly through new lights, accessories, and exciting new use-cases such as using lighting to make your home more secure or create an immersive home theater experience. What you'll do * Develop, test and ship new cloud services and mobile application components to enable a new line of products to integrate into the broader hue ecosystem, using state of the art technologies such as Flutter, AWS IOT, Kinesis Video streams and Kubernetes. * Work out the system design choices and specifications for new features connecting cloud, embedded and mobile components. * Collaborate with other functions, like QA, product, and partnership managers, as well as engineers from partner companies and suppliers, to jointly optimize our product experience. * Perform data analysis, identify improvement opportunities, and provide input to steer the product roadmap as well as work on the ongoing reliability of our services in a developer operations mode. Your qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline * 3+ years working on software development and definition in the mobile application and/or cloud backend space. * Experience with cloud platform as a service offerings from Amazon Web Services * Having worked with Flutter mobile application framework is a plus * Knowledge of IoT network protocols and video streaming technologies * Effective communication skills and flexibility to closely collaborate with partners and overseas colleagues What you'll get in return You'll be part of our growing multi-disciplinary Philips Hue engineering team in the Bay Area. This is a small site with large responsibilities to create and maintain Philips Hue partnership integrations and Hue Entertainment products. This site is being expanded to lead development of a business area for the Philips Hue ecosystem and you will be part of shaping a new line of associated products and services.
