We are looking for a seasoned technical program manager for our
Advertising team. This team builds and operates an advertising
exchange that powers our programmatic advertising business. In this
role, you will draw upon your understanding of digital advertising,
technical product and business expertise to define and rapidly
execute on cross-functional products, in partnership with business
and program leaders across Amazon Advertising. You will leverage
your technical knowledge of distributed software systems to resolve
ad-serving issues that manifest only at massive scale. You will
bring great customer focus, the ability to rapidly prioritize and
get things done and strong communication skills.
Your responsibilities will include:
-- Product launch - partner with teams across Amazon Advertising to
launch multiple products simultaneously on ambitious schedules.
-- Engineering execution - drive crisp and timely prioritization
based on customer impact and business opportunity
-- Priority management - manage diverse requests and dependencies
from world-wide teams
-- Own sprint planning and execution using Agile practices.
-- Process improvements ---" define, implement and continuously
improve processes that improve delivery and
-- operational efficiency.
-- Stakeholder management ---" interface with and influence your
stakeholders, balancing business needs vs. technical constraints
and driving clarity in ambiguous situations.
-- Operational Excellence ---" monitor metrics and program health,
anticipate and clear blockers, manage escalations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS -- 5+ years of technical program management
experience working directly with software engineering teams
-- Experience managing cross-functional programs and release
-- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical
-- Experience developing and executing/delivering product and
technical roadmaps PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -- Master's degree in
computer science, engineering or business.
-- Prior experience with digital advertising and programmatic ad
-- Strong track record of delivering multiple large projects with
multiple stakeholders and tight timelines.
-- Software engineering experience with building and operating
Internet-scale services and applications.
-- Excellent communication skills ---" experience in writing and
presenting comprehensive narratives on opportunity, plans and
results to senior management and stakeholders.
-- Passion for building technology that delivers outstanding
-- High judgment, superior negotiating skills and exceptional
attention to details.
