Job Description:
As a Technical Program Manager, you'll work alongside leading
mobile app marketers and strategists to drive value - tracking
where Branch is implemented across a portfolio of apps, assessing
how teams are using the Branch platform, and identifying gaps where
customers can adopt or improve solution value and ROI. This role
combines project management, customer interaction, cutting-edge
mobile technology implementation, and troubleshooting. This role
will require visiting clients and in a local territory, and/or
working near an office location. Mobile app development or UX/UI
experience is preferred.
As a Technical Program Manager, you'll get to:
- Leverage your understanding of mobile and web technology to
help customers execute their desired use cases & discover new
customer use cases.
- Recommend best practices to customers that establish a clear
taxonomy and governance system for campaign naming and metadata, so
data can be aggregated across apps, campaigns, etc in a clear
hierarchy that supports customers analytics requirements.
- Provide program comms and management - act as central point of
contact for coordination between Branch and various customer PM
teams for technical updates (i.e. SDK updates), solution questions,
et al, where needs can't be addressed adequately through
Slack.
- Identify the opportunities, requirements, and risks associated
with mobile programs; define milestones and success criteria, and
manage schedules.
- Act as a Branch technical expert and platform admin embed
within a customer's organization. Update and maintain
customer-specific documentation and serve as a bridge between
organizations.
- Take a holistic view across the greater mobile organization,
identifying points to improve collaboration and reduce
redundancy.
- Work alongside Branch account teams (Customer Success and
Solutions Engineering) to drive the adoption and growth of the
Branch solution throughout a customer's organization.
You'll be a good fit if you have:
- 7+ years of experience in project management with a technical
background or product-forward role (Product Manager or Program
Manager).
- Solid technical background and the ability to quickly
understand technical designs, challenges and risks.
- Familiarity with the iOS and Android ecosystem in order to
communicate the intricacies involved in releasing a
production-ready mobile application.
- [Preferred] A deep knowledge of working with third-party SDKs
and the QA process involved to ensure proper
implementation.
- [Preferred] Familiarity with iOS and/or Android programming
experience (building apps with Java/Objective-C/Swift, releasing
apps to the app store, etc).
- [Preferred] Web development experience using Javascript, CSS,
HTML.
- Experience pulling data & API logs using basic SQL.
- [Preferred] Experience using Mobile Analytics platforms like
Google Analytics & Adobe.
- Familiarity with ticketing queue systems like JIRA and
debugging tools such as, Charles Proxy, Chrome Developer Tools or
related tools
- Entrepreneurial spirit with strong leadership, who can develop
and lead a new initiative from the ground up; thrive in
ambiguity.
- Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management, trust
building, and verbal/written communication skills are
essential.
- Has at least 5 years of professional work experience with
mobile products.
- Is driven to proactively identify issues, risks, and
opportunities.
- Applies their technical expertise to care about the details
without losing sight of the bigger picture.
- Communicates effectively with peers, executives, and
independent contributors.
- Has successfully owned and managed programs with external
partnerships.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to a non-technical
audience.
- Problem-solving skills around technical, product, and business
questions.
