reimagine the human journey.Meet The TeamThe Argo AI Prediction
team is responsible for designing and building systems that allow
an autonomous vehicle to understand the current scene around it and
to predict how it will evolve in the future. The Prediction team
analyzes the output generated by the perception teams and
anticipates the likely intents and future trajectories of nearby
objects so our vehicle can make safe and comfortable driving
decisions.Working on metrics and tooling, you'll play a key role in
helping this team be its best. You'll use your creativity and
initiative to come up with better ways to quantify vehicle and
prediction performance, deliver key information, eliminate
bottlenecks, automate tedious tasks, and help our team continually
improve.The Prediction team is distributed across Munich,
Pittsburgh, and Palo Alto and all groups work very closely with
each other. We are open to remote work under the right
circumstances and have a number of team members who currently work
remotely.What You'll Do
- Collaborate closely with your prediction teammates to
understand their workflows and how they can be improved
- Design, implement, and deliver innovative tools, pipelines, and
infrastructure that address those needs
- Understand and help quantify the performance of the vehicle,
especially in the area of prediction
- Design, implement, and deliver metrics that help inform and
guide development of the system
- Build great visual tools and data visualizations for
metrics
- As needed, jump in and help team members deliver new and
improved autonomy capabilities
- Work in cooperation with other teams at Argo to use and improve
common infrastructureWhat You'll Need To Succeed
- Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical
Engineering, Robotics or a related field
- Excellent technical communication and collaboration skills
- Must have a great attitude, a passion for supporting your
teammates, the creativity to come up with new approaches, and the
initiative to make it happen
- No background in robotics or machine learning necessary, but
must have the willingness to learn enough about those areas to be
effective
- Ability to deliver and support high impact, reliable tools in
fast moving environments
- Strong abilities in some combination of C++, Python, SQL,
OpenGL, and various cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, etc). You
certainly don't have to be an expert in everything, but you should
be willing to quickly learn and adapt new or unfamiliar
technologies
- A strong background in data structures, algorithms, and
