Job Description If you are an experienced Automotive Technical Project Manager looking for a position with a leading company, Bartech can help! We are a leading staffing firm and our clients include some of the biggest companies in the nation. Our client has a need for a Automotive Technical Project Manager. This is a contract position; however it is not uncommon for assignments to transition into permanent positions with our client companies. For this opportunity, the successful candidate will be directly employed by Bartech Staffing as a W2 employee while providing services to our end client. Automotive Technical Project Manager Job Responsibilities Your specific duties as a Automotive Technical Project Manager will include:

  • The Engineering Operations team is responsible for the alignment and execution of engineering programs, initiatives, and deliverables across our multiple teams, projects, and partners. This team will play a critical role in driving the engineering organization to achieve a high level of operational efficiency, agility, and adaptability.
  • Our Hardware Engineering organization is looking for a resourceful, energetic Hardware Project Manager, you will work closely with the hardware engineering team to expand our electronic pallet and embedded device portfolio by bringing design concepts from early prototypes to full-scale production units. You will drive daily planning, tracking, development and validation activities to meet the overall project objectives, including major functionality, quality, and on-time delivery. You will also work with internal, cross-functional teams, such as product management, operations, procurement, customer service and system safety, in a fast-paced, business, technology, and operations environment.
  • Note: This is a contractor position with a contract duration of 6-9 months in a hybrid work environment working 2-3 days per week in the office
  • Develop, communicate and maintain detailed project plans based on resources, deliverables, dependencies, risks and schedule targets
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to monitor and support ongoing project progress
  • Lead project kickoff and close-out meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment at the start and end of a project
  • Create and manage purchase requests for parts, tools, equipment and services from external suppliers
  • Work with 3rd party suppliers and design and manufacturing partners to ensure deadlines are achieved and deliverables are provided in a consistent and timely manner
  • Partner with procurement and manufacturing operations teams to coordinate external vendor and partner schedules, deliverables, and purchase order payments
  • Drive several small projects or portions of larger projects, in parallel, through on-time delivery with engineering and cross-functional team members
  • Manage risks across your program to ensure implementation plans meet project requirements
  • Effectively and regularly communicate project progress against the project plan
  • Identify areas where processes could be improved and simplified
  • Communicate decisions and actions based on data-driven rationale in a timely manner Automotive Technical Project Manager Job Requirements As a Automotive Technical Project Manager you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty.
