The Agent Experience team is a full-stack engineering team responsible for Agent Portal, a React-based web application which serves Affirm's team of over 1900 customer service agents and their mission to provide world class support to Affirm's 15 million customers. We are a close-knit team with a solid culture of ownership, camaraderie, and service. We work closely with teams across the company to deliver high impact and mission-critical solutions throughout the Servicing ecosystem. What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Analytics teams to implement business critical features enabling new user experiences across the entire stack (mobile, web, backend).
• Create a long term technical roadmap that enables the team to keep up with our fast growing business
• Build a strong engineering culture around innovation, accountability, empathy, and execution
• Coach, develop, retain, hire, and provide individual growth plans for team members by mentoring engineers to help them improve their designs, code quality, and testing.
• Establish OKRs and critical metrics to set the engineering team's direction and measure its success
• Actively participate in making your team and workplace an inclusive environment for people from all backgrounds.
• Build relationships with people across engineering and other organizations for the design, implementation, roll-out and maintenance of projects.
  
  What We Look For
  
  
  • 6+ years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities, 4+ years of experience building web applications, and 2+ years as an engineering manager
  • Passion for working with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Analytics and Business teams.
  • Expert at synthesizing complex business, product, and technical requirements to consistently produce high quality system designs and software.
  • Compassionate and empathetic leader with a humble and authentic servant-leadership style who places the needs of others first, and helps people develop and perform to the best of their abilities
  • Focus on building and maintaining a healthy team culture that balances long term goals with short term needs
  • Experience building, launching and maintaining web apps at scale, large-scale systems and service-oriented architecture. Experience with React a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • This position requires either equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related field

    Equity Grade - 7
    
    Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
    
    Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
    
    CAN base pay range per year: $178,000 - $228,000
    
    Affirm is proud to be a remote-first company! The majority of our roles are remote and you can work almost anywhere within the country of employment. Affirmers in proximal roles have the flexibility to work remotely, but will occasionally be required to work out of their assigned Affirm office. A limited number of roles remain office-based due to the nature of their job responsibilities.
