Job Description:
We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our team our client
company in Foster City. This position is a Contract-W2 role with
Onsite work set-up. In this role, you’ll be responsible for
managing and maintaining Microsoft Windows servers, Active
Directory Domain Controllers, and Horizon VDI environments. You’ll
also have the chance to work with VMware Cloud Foundation and
vSphere, scripting automation workflows, and optimizing corporate
IT systems for better efficiency and customer experience. Key
Responsibilities: *Manage and maintain Windows Servers and Active
Directory services. *Work with Horizon VDI and validate new use
cases within the environment. *Automate common tasks and improve
customer self-service capabilities. *Deploy resources on-prem and
in AWS environments. *Collaborate with cross-functional teams to
identify opportunities for system optimization and error reduction.
Required Qualifications: *8 years of experience in managing and
troubleshooting Windows-based environments. *Strong knowledge of
virtual desktop environments (VMware Horizon preferred).
*Proficient in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting. *Hands-on
experience with vSphere/ESXi and AWS environments. *Experience with
VMware Aria Suite (vRealize) or VMware Cloud Foundation is a plus.
*Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a strong
focus on system efficiency and quality.
