responsibility expanding to spares fulfillment as operations scale.
The Materials Lead is a hands-on leader and systems builder . You

that scale from pilot builds into repeatable, production-ready
operations. This role is critical in enabling manufacturing
throughput, reducing shortages, improving inventory accuracy, and
creating data-driven visibility across supply chain and operations.

and resources across material functions to support daily production
priorities. Serve as the primary point of contact for materials
execution and escalation. Support hiring, onboarding, and training
of materials associates as the operation scales. Warehouse &
Material Flow Operations Own end-to-end material flow from
receiving through storage, line-side delivery, and outbound
shipments. Design and maintain warehouse layouts, material storage
strategies, and replenishment methods that support manufacturing
flow. Convert new or evolving spaces into functional warehouse and
logistics operations as production needs change. Ensure material
handling equipment, storage systems, and workflows are safe,
efficient, and production-ready. Process Development & Systems
Enablement Build and maintain standardized pick, pack, ship, and
replenishment processes supported by systems rather than manual
tracking. Drive the transition from spreadsheet-based workflows to
system-based execution using ERP, WMS, and TMS tools. Implement
supplier-facing improvements such as barcode labeling, fixed pack

Ensure material transactions are timely, accurate, and traceable.
Inventory Accuracy & Control Own inventory accuracy KPIs across
warehouses and storage locations. Design and lead cycle count
programs and reconciliation processes. Standardize storage
strategies (e.g., homogeneous locations, fixed binning) to reduce
complexity and improve visibility. Identify and eliminate root
causes of inventory discrepancies. Data, Reporting & Visibility
Develop dashboards and reporting to track open orders, material
availability, shortages, and aging inventory. Partner with
Manufacturing, Planning, and Supply Chain to align material
readiness with production schedules. Use data to highlight risks,
prioritize work, and drive decision-making. Continuous Improvement
& Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Manufacturing,
Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to support NPI, pilot
builds, and production ramps. Identify inefficiencies and lead
continuous improvement initiatives across materials and logistics
operations. Support Lean initiatives, visual management, and
standardized work across warehouses and material flows. Minimum
Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply
Chain, Operations, Logistics, or a related field. 4–6 years of
experience in materials, warehouse, or internal logistics
operations within manufacturing environments. Prior experience
leading teams across receiving, warehousing, and line-side material
support. Strong understanding of inventory control, material flow,
and manufacturing support operations. Experience implementing or
improving ERP, WMS, or TMS-driven processes. Data-driven mindset
with experience using dashboards, reports, or queries to drive
action. Clear communicator with the ability to lead
cross-functionally and escalate issues effectively. Forklift
certified (or willing to become certified) and comfortable
operating material handling equipment. Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting battery manufacturing, energy storage
systems, electronics, or complex electromechanical assemblies.
Familiarity with supplier-managed labeling, barcode-driven
workflows, and fixed pack strategies. Experience scaling operations
from pilot to production. Working knowledge of SQL or similar tools
for operational reporting. Exposure to Lean, 5S, and continuous
improvement methodologies. What Success Looks Like Manufacturing
lines are consistently fed without shortages or surprises.
Inventory accuracy is high, stable, and trusted. Materials
operations scale smoothly as volume increases. Warehouse layouts,
processes, and systems support flow instead of limiting it. Clear
visibility exists into material status, risks, and priorities.
Materials processes are structured to support future spares
fulfillment without disrupting core manufacturing operations . The
salary range for this role is $120,000 - $135,000, with actual pay
varying based on work location, experience, and skills. Our
competitive benefits package includes flexible time off,
comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a strong 401(k)
