A Brief Overview
Testing lead will be responsible for developing and maintaining a
test automation framework to help simplify the process of
validating multiple NGS analysis workflows/pipelines. This position
will help bring the rigor necessary for testing and validating a
clinical grade NGS analysis workflow. This position will be
responsible for taking ownership of the testing subproject and
ensure that the team delivers a quality product and meets all the
project timelines. This position will be responsible for mentoring
other junior testing team members and potentially manage
out-sourced testing contractors.

What you will do
- Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and integration
- Develop and maintain a Build and Continuous integration
Framework for testing and validation.
- Automate integration and acceptance testing of Bioinformatics
- Mentor other junior members of testing team and/or manage
contractors to coordinate test development efforts and ensure
timely delivery of test suites.
- Work closely with algorithm development team to translate
functional specifications to test cases and help improve code
coverage of Unit Test cases.
- Graduate Degree (M.S/Ph.D) in a work-related field/discipline
from an accredited college or university.
- Six (6) years of experience developing and managing testing
frameworks for Bioinformatics Pipelines preferably in a Clinical
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience developing testing framework using Python for
testing Bioinformatics Pipelines.
- Experience with developing tools and utilities for
Bioinformatics software verification and validation.
- Experience in JAVA/C++ is a big plus.
- Experience in LINUX environment is a must.
- Experience with software testing in a Clinical Diagnostic
setting is a big plus.
- Experience in MySQL or PostgreSQL is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities and communication skills.
