Job Summary

Rubrik has become the fastest growing enterprise startup in Silicon Valley and we're looking for a passionate University Talent Lead to develop Rubrik's University program for intern and early career hiring. You will play a key role in helping to shape the organization's future by collaborating with colleagues across the company to identify and attract brilliant university students. You will be constantly challenged to think creatively about how to drive hiring results with a best-in-class university program.

As a University Talent Lead, you will create a strong pipeline of top engineering talent for our engineering teams at Rubrik. The successful candidate will manage relationships with universities, faculty, and key organizations on campus and off campus. This is an opportunity to build a world class university recruiting program from the ground up with full support from senior leadership. Ability to travel, if needed.


  • Manage all levels of university relationships from career centers, CS departments, professors, student organizations to affiliate programs
  • Organize and execute targeted events to highlight Rubrik's brand on campus and provide visibility into our company mission, engineering challenges, technologies, and career pathways.
  • Evaluate candidate qualifications and make thoughtful, data-driven hiring decisions; serve as point person for recruiting metrics and data
  • Full cycle recruiting for current and recent graduate students for internships and co-ops with a focus on diversity and conversion to full time employees
  • Help design and further develop programs for interns and early career hires, implementing creative solutions and new ideas around onboarding, programs and events
  • Provide and maintain a positive candidate experience for every new grad and intern candidate at Rubrik
  • Continually keep abreast and drive the adoption of emerging best practices for DE&I-focused hiring - especially for university talent!

Desired Background

  • 2+ years experience working in university recruiting at a technology company
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
  • Experience interacting with senior level managers and executives
  • Experience building relationships with universities, organizations, and students
  • Knowledge of core DE&I concepts and best practices in DE&I in UR recruitment
  • Work efficiently with large volume of resumes, emails, and phone screens during peak season
  • Ability to effectively use systems and tools to track data and metrics
  • Proactive thinking and initiative to constantly streamline/improve processes
