Job Description

We are looking for a qualified technical writer to join the team. The product is a premier tool for making it simple to provide true end-to-end security for cloud applications. The role involves working closely with development team documenting the interfaces of the application as well as producing and editing tutorials for working with the product.

The current content is developed in a markup tool called Antora and the content is managed alongside the application in Git. The development process is centered around Scrum and we ship code and documentation frequently. We don't have "big releases and the associate looming deadline but rather ship incrementally at least every two weeks.

Currently this is a part time position, but as the company expands, there is the opportunity for the role to expand as well. The ideal candidate will work with product management and the development team on the products as they are being developed to help us develop world-class documentation including user guides, tutorials, API guides and in platform instructions. As most of the tutorials happen at the Linux command line, the candidate should be very comfortable working with command line applications. You will have a great opportunity to help us communicate complex security in a way that is engaging and understood by users.

  • 5+ years of technical writing experience
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • SaaS experience is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Highly passionate about great teams
  • A familiarity with API documentation for REST
  • Experience in text based markup for documentation
  • Experience with HTML
  • Experience with Git
  • Comfortable with Linux and application from the command line
  • Familiarity with working and experimenting with code samples
  • Experience owning end-to-end documentation process
  • A positive attitude willing to jump in and tackle new challenges
  • Portfolio of work and or writing samples
