The Senior Manager, Benefits will develop and manage global benefits programs to ensure that the firm is able to attract, engage, and retain diverse talent across all locations. This role will oversee benefit program design, legal compliance, communications, and operations, and will manage a team of professionals who administer health and welfare, work/life, wellness, retirement, retiree, and leave of absence benefits. This is a highly collaborative role that involves working cross-functionally with many administrative areas of the firm, including finance, accounting, marketing/internal communications, professional development, attorney recruiting, office of the general counsel, and others.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with firm leadership, HR, and other talent management disciplines within the firm to ensure the benefit program aligns with strategic business objectives. Foster well-being programs that connect the employee to the firm, practice group, and office and improve employee engagement. Develop communication campaigns that increase employee awareness and understanding of benefit programs and the value they deliver. Evaluate and benchmark benefits programs against market trends and best practices. Assess the competitiveness and effectiveness of existing benefits; recommend and implement changes to improve effectiveness. Lead program implementations with a thoughtful and well-considered approach to change management. Maximize adoption and utilization of programs to bring the highest benefit to employees. In conjunction with the benefits team, ensure service levels are maintained at a high level and that employee concerns are addressed and resolved expeditiously, fairly, and courteously. Work closely with broker consultants to track benefits spend and analyze trends for all lines of coverage, including self-funded plans. Provide financial forecasts. Ensure legal compliance with ACA, ERISA, HIPAA and other state and federal requirements. Provide subject-matter expertise, advice, and guidance to the benefits team, HR, and firm leadership.
Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of related functional experience. 8+ years of experience in a benefits management role, preferably in a professional services environment. Strong analytical ability, intellectual curiosity, and creativity. Ability to research, propose solutions, and iterate based on input from others. Solid business communication skills, including listening/advising, writing, and presenting; ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Experience with managing organizational change and implementing new programs, policies, and procedures. Experience with defining and driving standards and governance within an HR function. Experience with hiring, managing, mentoring, and developing a team. Ability to transition seamlessly between day-to-day tactical activities and broader strategy. Experience with Workday a plus. Capability to network with colleagues, establish working relationships, manage others in a remote team environment.
