Description Amazon Web Services is leading the next paradigm shift in computing and is looking for world class candidates to help drive Application Modernization opportunities and GTM with leading AWS Consulting Partners. As Partner Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving top line revenue growth and customer adoption of AWS across all market segments through Consulting partner engagement on Application Modernization with AWS. The ideal candidate has either worked as Practice or Partnerships Leader in a consulting company or has worked in a senior partner management role driving Application Modernization initiatives. The right candidate will have experience defining, selling, and delivering large scale transformation/modernization programs for enterprise customers. This includes demonstrated business development and selling experience, experience in developing programmatic approaches to build and scale applications, strong project management skills, a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, field engagement and enablement experience, a strong data and metrics bias, a good understanding of cloud solutions, and a passion for helping customers transform their business using cloud technologies. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.You will be responsible for defining and scaling plays with AWS Consulting Partners. You will work with AWS partner management and consulting partner executives to develop short and long-range GTM plans that drive large scale application modernization initiatives with AWS Container Services and DevOps technologies.You will be expected to - Have a holistic view and deep understanding of consulting partner capabilities and the benefit of modern application platforms and application modernization to customers and to partners. Dive deep with key consulting partners to build technical capabilities and to help build practices to deliver services and solutions using AWS Native and/or partner products on AWS. Engage C-level partner executives to define and communicate the AWS value proposition and benefit of building an modernization practice with AWS that includes dedicated headcount, solutions, offerings, customer engagement mechanisms, commercial models that accelerate at-scale modernization. Triangulate on strategic deals with the AWS Sales, Consulting Partner teams, and AWS ProServe. Define Quarterly Goals with Consulting Partners, track against them and communicate to internal stakeholders Advise customers and commercial sales teams on the value of partners, engagement, and recommend qualified partners to support customer needs. Enable AWS consulting partner development teams to drive at-scale GTM with consulting partners. Expand existing AWS footprint as well as drive new customer engagements with partners to grow overall revenue with a focus on business outcomes. Develop global mechanisms to deliver GTM elements that may include consultative workshops, reference materials, partner engagements, linkages to other Amazon programs. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years of experience in sales and business development in the software industry 5+ years of program management 5+ years experience in technology transformation, with experiences in cloud-led technology change program(s) in a leadership capacity. Conceptual technology experience with Modern Application development, Containers and DevOps principles Prior experience managing strategic, at-scale partnerships and working with account management, product management, program management and business development groups is required. Verbal, written communications skills, and interpersonal skills. 5+ years of experience working with multiple stakeholders and cross functional teams including direct and channel marketing, solution architect teams, product management and account management teams. Experience leading and working with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities. Experience multitasking and prioritizing work, planning, collaboration, and management. Experience collaborating with and interacting with senior leadership (e.g. CxO's). PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Qualifications MBA is preferred. Computer Science background is a plus global alliance and sales account management. Knowledge of AWS Container Services technologies is preferred. Technology Consulting background in Digital Transformation or Modernization is a plus.
