The Role:

We are looking for a Product Marketing Director to help develop and accelerate our product innovation efforts. Reporting to the Vice President of Product Marketing, this high-profile team leader will be responsible for identifying and driving new services and businesses with the goal of driving revenue, growth, and customer-centricity.

The successful candidate will possess well-honed analytical, creative, and people skills and be able to lead a team to proactively tackle complex business and marketing challenges in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Key capabilities and responsibilities include:

  • They have the ability to build and lead a high-performing marketing team. The ideal candidate will be able to hire and develop key talent to meet Hippo's expanding business needs.
  • They are analytical and creative, highly collaborative, and have a successful track record of running experiments and launching pilots to inform the innovation lifecycle: from idea to GA release of successful products or services
  • They are comfortable building models and measurement frameworks to inform business decisions at every point in the innovation process
  • They must be able to tackle complex challenges with a strategic mindset, and create and execute thoughtful recommendations and action plans that ladder to overarching business objectives
  • They have a history of partnering with Customer Insights & Analytics teams to generate break-through quantitative, qualitative, and competitive insights. Critically, they will translate these insights into distinct, actionable plans that deliver consumer value on multiple levels
  • They possess a proven ability to develop strong product positioning and clear narratives, and drive influence not just with internal and external partners
  • They will drive go-to-market plans and work closely with cross-functional teams to determine effective launch and communications strategies
  • They have a track record partnering with Communications and Brand teams to drive our unique innovation story, adoption of new services, and long-term engagement


  • 10+ years of marketing experience launching & scaling consumer brands, products or services
  • 5 or more years of experience leading cross-functional projects
  • Demonstrated success building and leading a high-performing marketing team
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and modeling data to drive business decisions
  • MBA or similar experience


  • 2-3 years experience in a Design Thinking environment--ideally in a Business Design role
  • Consulting, general management, EIR experience
