SAP Design is looking for a DesignOps Program Manager Director to join our Strategy & Design Operations team. In this role, you will focus on scaling and supporting design processes to ensure the design team is integrated and effective. You will further amplify design at SAP by fostering an inclusive design community.  Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, Design Operations, this role spans team operations and program management. You will drive impact for our designers by creating and implementing processes to support the design team's day-to-day operations. You will partner with SAP leadership to innovate and build new solutions that allow us to scale effectively.


Program Managers are strategic owners of initiatives that drive Design Experience at SAP. You are an ambassador for the Product Design team, driving programming focused on career growth, on-boarding, learning & development, team culture, and morale. You are an expert at balancing strategic planning alongside execution and know when to leverage cross-functional partners to move projects forward. You are a strong creative thinker, leveraging org design frameworks to break down complex people problems and provide solutions to support the team. You have a soft spot for creative people and a high EQ that allows you to anticipate the team's needs before issues arise.



  • Understand the needs of the team through qualitative and quantitative people research and create strategies for your program to move metrics as needed
  • Facilitate learning & development activities, culture events, and career development efforts
  • Own and drive new programs by identifying opportunity areas, creating processes, executing and reporting on programs
  • Manage all program communication and proactively connect with stakeholders and cross-functional partners to drive your program and projects forward
  • Ensure that your program is funded by working closely with business operations and talent management / capacity planning
  • Build impactful relationships within Product Design and its partner teams as a dependable point of contact for your program
  • Proactive raise and resolve issues around program initiatives before they are a problem for individuals
  • Work closely with Product Design leadership to identify opportunity areas for programming
  • Act as an ambassador for UX Design at SAP, ensuring the latest and greatest from our team is visible within and outside of the company



  • Experience working with designers and creating design communities
  • 5+ years of working as a producer, project manager, or program manager with proven ability in managing design workflows and project plans within a design team
  • Relevant understanding of design craft and skill areas
  • Master of time management, task prioritization, identifying problems, and working towards solutions (i.e. attention to detail with impeccable organizational skills, comfortable with ambiguity and flexible workflow)
  • A ‘big picture’ approach to help establish, support, and engage teams, while still managing the details
