Head of CEO Communications
The Head of CEO Communications will lead all aspects of
communications pertaining to the Office of the Chief Executive
Officer including employee communications, stakeholder engagement,
media relations, and social media. This is a terrific role for an
experienced leader and strong writer who enjoys partnering directly
with a senior executive to create a platform that achieves
This senior communications leadership role will be a trusted
partner to the Office of the CEO and be responsible for developing
the CEOs communications strategy and content. The leader will
combine a deep understanding of current events and HP business
priorities with disciplined execution and meticulous attention to
detail to drive measurable results.
This role reports to the Global Head of Corporate
Communications. In addition to HPs CEO communications team and
serving on the Corporate Affairs extended leadership team, the Head
of CEO Communications will partner closely with the companys CEO
and other HP executive leaders on a daily basis.
Developing and executing CEO communications strategy and
Overseeing content for all CEO employee communications,
including town hall meetings, written content, and other channels
used for engaging with HPs 50,000 employees.
Writing speeches and talking points for external events and
Drafting concise yet thorough briefing materials used to prepare
the CEO for engagements.
Driving proactive external engagement with key opinion leaders
that expand the CEOs network and support broader HP business
Partnering closely with head of corporate media relations to
drive a sustained CEO media program.
Elevating CEOs voice on specific topics aligned with HP
strategy, including innovation, sustainability, diversity, and
digital equity through mix of speaking engagements and published
Overseeing CEO social media strategy, with focus on leveraging
platforms to drive engagement across priority audiences and
Partnering closely with HP Commercial Organization on all
partner and customer engagements requiring corporate communications
Building and maintaining relationships with other members of the
HP leadership team to inform CEO communications strategy and
Implementing processes that drive long-term planning,
high-quality content gathering, and rigorous execution across all
aspects of CEO communications.
Manage external agency supporting strategic CEO communications
At least 12-15 years of communications leadership
Significant executive communications experience. Political
experience a plus, but not required.
A great writer, with experience spanning speech writing,
messaging and talking points.
Strong executive presence that inspires trust and
Strategic thinker with a strong grasp on global issues, current
events and business trends.
Sound judgement, with the ability to balance short- and
long-term priorities in a disciplined manner.
A good understanding of the public policy landscape and
implications for global companies.
Experience managing an executives social media presence.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and calmly adapts to change
A strong external network that can be leveraged to support
Experience effectively managing relationships with external
agency partners to maximize impact.
