Job Description:

J.P. Morgan Chase is seeking a talented individual for the position of Content, Documentation & Technical Writer for our Commercial Real Estate group for Digital Banking. The role will involve researching, documenting and developing detailed user, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, technical specifications, alert bulletins, training materials and other procedures and reports.. An ideal candidate has a technical background working on complex transformation projects in a fast-paced environment. We are a lean team, so your work will range from big thinking to digging into the details. The role will work with, and have accountability to, the Executive Director - Strategy, Operations & Communications for Digital Banking within CRE.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop content for select digital banking products for CRE products and customer programs, working closely with cross-functional partners from discovery through delivery.
  • Create, maintain and facilitate adoption of content related to product releases, project artifacts, .
  • Collaborate with product teams in creation of iterative content and document prototypes
  • Experience adding new features and capabilities to existing documentation
  • Specific responsibilities include creating reusable content, document and communication templates, process and strategy plan across product releases and in coordination with product design and development teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage
  • Proven ability to distill complex information into easy-to-understand terms
  • Ensures final materials clearly and effectively communicate the technical information and data to appropriate audiences; ensures documents are developed in accordance with the requested specifications; and collects and accumulates appropriate technical information through researching and analyzing technical data and publications, test plans, design specifications/documentation, software description documents, engineering documents and by interviewing technical experts.
  • Researches, documents and develops detailed users, maintenance and troubleshooting procedures, checklists, technical specifications, alert bulletins, training materials and other procedures and reports.
  • Collects and accumulates appropriate technical information through researching and analyzing technical data and existing documents, engineering specifications, test procedures, design specifications/documentation, software description documents, engineering documents and by interviewing technical experts.
  • Ensures documents are developed in accordance with the requested specifications and contractual requirements, including development of any necessary illustrations, photographs, or other graphic representations.
  • Ensures final materials clearly and effectively communicate the technical information and data.
  • Coordinates technical document reviews and approval signatures, which may include appropriate security and compliance classification prior to document distribution.
  • May participate in recommending new and/or modifications to documentation/communication policies and procedures.
  • May present document(s) to customers and program management staff, make related presentations, and may assist in the document security/ compliance classification process.
  • Experience adhering to documented standards for brand and copy, including style, voice, and tone
  • Leverage data to inform and optimize content
  • Manage content governance and approvals process for assigned programs


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of total professional experience including hands-on technical writing and content creationg experience.
  • Direct and in-depth experience creating content, document creation and communication content to enhance and expand product team capabilities of an organization.
  • Proven experience leading content strategy in a matrixed organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation and usage
  • Experience adhering to documented standards for brand and copy, including style, voice, and tone
  • Advanced engagement, communication and interpersonal skills in a diverse work culture.
  • Ability to quickly translate complex engineering/technical problems into easily understood writing, diagrams, and technical illustrations
  • High attention to detail
  • Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred
  • Successful track record demonstrating a high level of personal initiative, setting and achieving challenging goals and demonstrating entrepreneurial leadership within large enterprises and startups to resolve diverse business challenges.
  • Degree in Management, Finance, Engineering, Design Arts, Computer Science or in a related discipline
