As a company, we constantly challenge what's possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.

We operate development centers in Plymouth, Michigan; Southern California (Irvine, Carson & LA); Silicon Valley (San Jose and Palo Alto); Vancouver, British Columbia; and Surrey, England; as well as a manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.

The ideal candidate will have industry experience conducting life cycle assessments (LCAs) of products and services, and detailed knowledge of manufacturing, design, and the value chain. The candidate should be comfortable working with imperfect data and identifying sources of uncertainty.

The successful candidate must have strong analytical skills and the ability to apply systems thinking to complex, fast-moving problems. The successful candidate will work under the direction of a team lead but will act as a subject matter expert, including designing research, gathering data, interpreting results, and developing metrics and reports. • Develop tools and methods to harvest and continuously update data to provide sustainability insights at scale
  • Develop reports and metrics that distill complex data into actionable insights to inform design, planning, and implementation decisions
  • Support the practical design and policy problems of various sustainability initiatives by working closely with a range of design, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
  • Work with big, messy datasets and derive inferences from them.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of industry experience conducting life cycle analysis, driving sustainability improvements, and decarbonization within a corporation
  • Ask Why. Curious.
  • A contagious passion for sustainability
  • Experience developing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) models and a working knowledge of Carbon Accounting required.

  • Working knowledge and/or experience with Economic LCA (CEDA preferred)
  • Basic scripting or coding experience in Python, R, or similar
  • Proficiency with Microsoft software; Tableau and Asana is a plus.
  • Automotive or energy industry experience is a plus
  • Competence in statistical analysis, databases, and mathematical modeling
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented person with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • BS degree required; MS degrees welcome; engineering or science backgrounds strongly preferred

Seniority based on years of industry experience in a field related to Automotive, Mobility, Strategy, New Ventures, Engineering, Operations, or Customer Experience (Retail, Service).
