Sodexo has an exciting and unique opportunity for a Registered Dietitian Manager with at least 3 years of experience (at least 1-2 years lead or management experience) to come join their dynamic team at Lucille Packard Children’s Hospital-Stanford in Palo Alto, California.
This is a unique clinical manager role in which the dietitian will oversee all aspects of the Formula and Human Milk program which supporting the food service department to ensure adequate and appropriate nutrition and continuous regulatory compliance.


Reporting to the Senior Area General Manager, the ideal candidate will:


  • Be a Registered Dietitian;with experience in acute care and 3 years as a lead dietitian or clinical nutrition manager;
  • have a Master’s degree in nutrition or nutrition related field preferred;
  • manage the patient nutrition services for this high profile, acute care facility and serve in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team along with other manager’s;
  • assist with overseeing patient satisfaction and manage a team of client employees in the diet office (diet assistants) formula room and human milk program;
  • must have knowledge of formula preparation and handling of human milk program;
  • have knowledge or prior experience with Timeless and electronic diet office (AYR, CBORD, Computrition etc.) that is strongly preferred;
  • have demonstrated skills to manage and develop a staff; monitoring and evaluation of nutrition care services; accreditation and regulatory readiness and review; and establishing and maintaining standards of care;
  • maintain a highly visible role with client interaction, representing the department on hospital-wide medical staff committees including interactions with clinical nutrition staff.

Position Summary:

Functions as the in-unit lead Clinical leader for a large account, system or multiple accounts under the same contract or multiple contracts in a defined region. 
Manages the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of both non-exempt employees and entry-level exempt professional employees.
Key Duties
-Directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensure customer and client satisfaction levels are met.
-Establishes and executes operating standards, implements quality improvements, manages the budget and communicates them to other departments.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction for nutrition services.
-Promotes nutrition services and stays current with most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Manages employees to ensure they meet goals, cost controls deadlines, and collect outcomes.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel).
-Assists in the development of new business service(s) for the client, regional or national initiatives, projects, and implements the service program(s).



Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
