AVAILABLE NOW! Adecco Medical & Science is assisting a local
client with their search for a Radiologic Technologist in Palo
Alto, CA. This is a long-term contract going until 2023. You MUST
hold a current Radiologic Technologist certification.
LOCATION: Palo Alto, CA, 94304CONTRACT: Long-Term Contract until
2023SCHEDULE: Morning Shift & On-Call
Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Perform all procedures in sub-specialized radiology area,
including evaluation of indication, protocol, triaging, and
previewing for exam quality at completion of exam.
- Concerned with (1) combined specialized knowledge of radiology
equipment and human anatomy to provide quality diagnostic images
for the radiologist to examine and (2) patient's safety and
comfort.
- Advises radiologists or referring physician of significant
abnormalities that would require their immediate attention and
visualization while the patient is undergoing examination.
- Provide patient care which is appropriate to the cognitive,
emotional, and chronological maturation needs of the adult and/or
geriatric patient population. Positions patient within the
examining unit, monitors the patient during all phases of the
examination.
- Makes multiple simultaneous settings and adjustments in
operation of equipment to insure accurate results. Based on
radiologic findings, determines necessary sub-specialized imaging
procedures to yield definitive diagnostic findings.
- Assess, identify needs, plan, implement appropriate
interventions, document, and evaluate outcomes of all patients
within the sub-specialized imaging section. The technologist
assesses the patient's images before, during and after the
procedure is of high quality.
- Explains examinations to be performed to the patients so that
an understanding of the purpose of the study as well as any
requirements of the patients are thoroughly understood. This is
done so that an adequate radiology study may be obtained to get
diagnostic examinations for the purpose of treatment and diagnosis
of disorders.
- Gathers related information such as patient electronic medical
record, X-rays, etc., so that correlation of examinations to other
studies may be made by the radiologist in diagnosis and
recommendation of treatment for medical disorders.
- Assists quality assurance technologists in performing quality
assurance testing on the unit using phantoms, test tools, test
check lists, etc. for the purpose of assuring peak performance of
the equipment. Maintains records of the quality assurance testing
so that easy reference is available should servicing be necessary:

Experience):
- Must be certified in general radiologic technology by the
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) -.
- Minimum (1) year of experience.
