Evening - 10 Hour (United States of America)

**This is a Stanford Health Care job.**

**A Brief Overview**

Reports to Clinical Operations Manager in the assigned

department. Supports effective client relations, patient care

and cost-effective workflow in the region by being first point of

contact for patients. Supports the Perioperative and

Interventional region by coordinating the scheduling of clinic

appointments in APEC and IR grids.

- Responsible for calling patients for pre-op appointment.

- Obtains records when scheduling appointments

- Returns patient phone calls regarding concerns and

questions

- Scans records into patient charts

- Responds to e-mails from surgery schedulers regarding

patient's surgeries being date changed. Pre-op

appointments must then be rescheduled.

- Assist nurse practitioners

- Assist Fast Track nursing to expedite next patient's pre-op appointment.

- Sends and receives faxes

- Book pre-op appointments for multiple sites (500P, OSC, Hoover Building, Emeryville and CCSB)

**What you will do**

+ - Scanning Record

+ - Scheduling pre-op appointments

+ - Works directly with Nurse Practitioners

+ - Super users assist managers with moving patient, opening

+ and blocking schedules

+ - Runs reports for each location 300P, (500P, OSC,

+ - Hoover building, Emeryville and CCSB)

+ - Case Intake

+ - Case scheduling

+ - Manage high volume of calls

+ - Maintain patient follow-up after procedures

+ - New and return patient scheduling (i.e, imaging studies

+ and clinic)

+ - Upload radiology images to PACS and Life Image

+ - Obtain Medical records view RightFax

+ - Scan and distribute outside medical records

+ - Attend weekly staff meetings

+ - Cross train to all job duty functions to allow rotations

**Education Qualifications**

+ High School Diploma or GED Required

+ - Medical TerminologyPreferred

**Experience Qualifications**

+ 1 year minimum surgery scheduling or related experience. Required

**Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**

+ - Basic PC Skills (Windows, Excel, and Word)

+ - Good communication

+ - Knowledge of medical terminology

+ - Knowledge of computer systems and software used in

+ function area

+ - Ability to speak and write effectively at a level

+ appropriate for the job

+ - Ability to provide customer service, solve problems,

+ and manage multiple priorities

+ - Knowledge of Windows-based office software,

+ computers and operating systems

+ - Ability to adjust communications to fit the needs and

+ level of understanding of the receiver

+ - Ability to exercise calmness in stressful situations.

+ - Ability to foster relationships, build trust with

+ providers, nurses, staff and patients and to work in a

+ collegial team environment.

+ - Ability to apply C-I-CARE philosophies and demonstrate

+ customer service skills in interactions with staff,

+ including during high-volume times and stressful

+ interactions.

+ - Ability to plan, prioritize.
