Meet the team: Argo is looking for multiple level Network Operations Technicians to join our team in the Network Operations Department. The team is responsible for providing highly responsive support and end-to-end problem management and deployment for the Argo network infrastructure as well as automation and tooling to help the organization scale rapidly. What you'll do: Support a rapidly expanding network infrastructure Experience working on a team of strong technical people with responsibility for the operation of mission-critical systems and services Responsible for supporting Argo's overarching network infrastructure Work cross-functionally with highly technical software and hardware engineering teams, understand their goals, and deploy tools and visualizations to get the right data in the hands of teams to make decisions Serve as a key representative on major network troubleshooting issues Support remote office/terminal (SDWAN) and Data Center (Nexus) environment Support Root Cause Analysis reports for incidents and priority issues Maintain the network at the highest level of performance and availability Maintain service operating manuals and diagrams using Argo's standards & best practices Serve as an escalation point for the network operations team, and mentors junior staff members What you'll need to succeed: 7+ years supporting enterprise level network infrastructure Requires extensive troubleshooting on day to day network issues and provides permanent solutions Storing knowledge with network storage, capacity planning, security controls, data center virtualization Hands on experience with Cisco networks to perform change control scripts and validations Expertise using Visio/LucidChart to produce detailed network documentation Prior experience implementing, and administering advanced, Enterprise level LAN/WAN and Wireless LAN Network Systems Prior experience deploying and supporting Cisco Nexus Switches Prior experience with Wi-Fi deployment planning, troubleshooting, resolution of Wireless issues Prior experience with implementation and operation of PaloAlto/Panorama and F5 Experience with root cause analysis and error correction A willingness to learn and internalize new technologies Former or current role as a network engineer Demonstrated understanding of orchestration ability to automate tasks in Python, Ansible, Terraform Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Program Management, Operations, and Senior Leadership Ability to work well under pressure with minimal supervision and keep up with a fast moving environment via effective prioritization and time management Key service experience: Wireless, Core Networking, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, Cloud Service integration, SDWAN Fundamental understanding of BGP and advanced routing protocols Product experience preferred: Palo Alto Networks, Cisco Switching/Routing, F5 Demonstrated ability to build and maintain core documentation and understand these key deliverables Linux and OSX experience a plus AWS and GCP experience desirable Experience with scalable/dynamic network monitoring/reporting tools Experience in a global, fast-growing startup environment is highly preferred Understanding of dependent systems such as Compute and Storage environments is required Fundamental understanding of network infrastructure security practices CCNP/CCIE certifications highly preferred What we offer you: High-quality individual and family medical, dental, and vision insurance Competitive compensation packages Employer-matched 401(k) retirement plan with immediate vesting Employer-paid group term life insurance and the option to elect voluntary life insurance Paid parental leave Adoption & Surrogacy Assistance Program Paid medical leave 30 day paid sabbatical upon 5 years of employment Unlimited vacation Complimentary daily lunches, beverages, and snacks Pre-tax commuter benefits Monthly wellness stipend Professional development reimbursement Employee assistance program Discounted programs that include legal services, identity theft protection, pet insurance, and more Company and team bonding outlets: employee resource groups, quarterly team activity stipend, and wellness initiatives Our Background: Argo AI was founded in late 2016 by industry experts with extensive experience building robotic systems for commercial applications.
