As the Development Assistant you will provide administrative support for the fundraising activities of the Development Department. This includes, but is not limited to, support with event planning and logistics, clerical tasks and general correspondence. Well, helpful, but not essential The Core Duties: + Schedule and calendar meetings, send email reminders and agendas, order snacks, lunches and book rooms for meetings, photocopy, purchase supplies, file, etc. + Prepare ambassador and solicitor packets for staff + Coordinate and execute mailings (in house), direct mailings (mail house) with support from OFJCC Marketing Department + Track Development Department meeting agenda items (using Trello); take notes and manage items, where needed + Support grants management process + Manage regular and ongoing teambuilding activities (birthdays, team celebrations, etc.) + Manage logistics for fundraising activities and events, parlor meetings and other department programs (ex. Invitation, attendance tracking, nametags, catering, etc.) + Must be available to work some evenings and weekends The Essentials: + Bachelor degree desired + 2-3 years of progressive administrative experience + Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word + Salesforce experience preferred + Mature judgment, political acumen and diplomacy in handling sensitive and/or confidential matters + Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
