Associate (Sr) w/ Kirkland & Ellis LLP (Palo Alto, CA). Advise clients on a wide variety of commercial transactions involving tech & IP. Requires JD or LLM degree, or foreign equiv. Reqs admission to CA State Bar. Reqs min. 4 years of experience as an associate attorney w/ an int'l law firm advising on tech matters & corporate transactions. Exp. must incl: Leading negotiations & structuring corporate transactions driven by innovation & technological opportunities; advising clients on corporate carve-outs, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, private equity & venture capital investments; advising multinational clients on data privacy law, telecomm law, & legal issues arising from the use of big data, outsourcing strategies, & fin. tech. in the context of corporate transactions; Advising on issues relating to data privacy from a US perspective & w/r/t EU privacy questions; & drafting & negotiating merger agreements, acquisition agreements, asset purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, business combination agreements, service agreements, supply agreements, license agreements, & technology transfer & development agreements. The base hiring salary for this position is $370,000.
