(Senior) Research Associate, Histology - Perm - Palo Alto, CAProclinical is seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Research Associate, Histology to join an innovative biotech team. This hands-on role will provide technical histology support for multidisciplinary teams, both internal and external.Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day histology operations, including set-up and breakdown of routine histology equipment.
• Perform microtomy, cryotomy, embedding, manual routine and special histological stains.
• Support research activities under the supervision of a Scientist and Histology Hub Lead.
• Maintain accurate records in inventory and sample tracking software systems.
• Operate laboratory equipment, prepare reagents, perform experimental procedures, record and consolidate research data.
• Follow safe laboratory procedures set by the company.Skills & Requirements:
  • Degree in Biological Science or a related discipline.
  • Practical experience with standard histology techniques in a research environment.
  • Extensive knowledge in the processing of human and laboratory animal tissues.
  • Knowledge and experience of immunohistochemistry techniques and other methods of tissue-based expression analysis, e.g., in-situ hybridization.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and multitask across multiple projects.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated.Compensation:
